The police character certificate exercise will commence in Madrid on 25th January, 2017. The police will also move to other cities across Spain to conduct the exercise, and finally back to Madrid.

Those who fail to participate in their city, have another chance to participate in Madrid, as the police will be in Spain until March 2017.

To apply, make sure your Nigerian passport’s expiry date is 6 months and above.

Other information concerning schedules on other cities will be communicated once provided.

A police character certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings.

Police character certificate is also known as good citizen certificate, good conduct certificate, police clearance certificate, or judicial record extracts. Applicants may have to submit fingerprints and certain personal information to request a criminal record check, and the police or government agency may charge a fee. If no record found, the police certificate will indicate such.
